Saint Joseph School, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, offers a quality Catholic, faith-based education to the children in the Diocese of Harrisburg. Our school program helps our children develop spiritually, intellectually, and physically so that they meet the challenges in their lives, applying Gospel values in our ever-changing society to become disciples for Christ.
SJS students and staff pray the Diocesan Vocation Prayer together weekly. Additionally, our students and staff are continuing our "Adopt-a-Seminarian" Project. This is the eighth year that each homeroom has been assigned the name of a diocesan seminarian with whom to correspond. Students and staff write introductory letters and send cards and messages on birthdays, holidays, and other times throughout the year. We are happy to support the priestly vocations and hope our gestures of sending cards and letters help the seminarians know we care and pray for them. One of our seminarians recently visited a fifth grade homeroom to talk about his life in the seminary.
