Parish Care at Saint Joseph Parish consists of a group of outreach ministries overseen by a steering committee. Parish Care is always in need of members with backgrounds in health care, as well as other individuals who would be willing to help with the support and coordination of various jobs within this ministry.
Following are the mission statements for the ministries within Parish Care:
The Bereavement Committee sponsors a six-week series of group support sessions and a Memorial Service at Christmas. Throughout the year the committee hosts guest speakers who give talks on the different aspects of grief and loss. Cards are sent to surviving family members over the year reminding them of parish support at this difficult time. Membership in this committee is open to anyone who has a desire to help parishioners cope with the death of a loved one. Meeting times vary throughout the year.
This ministry recognizes the very special gifts God has given those living with disabilities. We are dedicated, if asked, to working with these parishioners so they have more opportunities to share their special gifts with our parish community in worship and fellowship. We are here to help but more importantly, we are here to celebrate and share all the gifts God has given us. CONTACT: Paul Zabroske at 717-659-1054 for more information.
