PARISH TRANSFORMATION SAINT JOSEPH CATHOLIC SCHOOL In our Parish Vision Statement, we commit to the following areas of what it means to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ: Worship, Grow, Serve, Connect, Give. Saint Joseph School has been part of our parish ministries since 1952 and is very blessed to celebrate these 70 years of helping our young parishioners grow in their faith, as well as receiving a top notch education. The Catholic education offered at our National Blue Ribbon school helps all who are involved – students, faculty, administration, parents, etc., – to be faith-filled Catholics. The Mission of Saint Joseph School seeks to help our students develop spiritually, intellectually, and physically, so that they meet the challenges in their lives, applying Gospel values in our ever-changing society to become disciples for Christ. Enrollment for the 2021 – 2022 academic year currently stands at 460, made up of a vibrant Preschool program and a robust K – 8 program. Most of the classes are comprised of 2 sections, with 2 of the classes (Kindergarten and 7th grade) currently having 3 sections. 250Saint Joseph parishioners attend our school, with the rest being from surrounding parishes, as well as some non-Catholic students. Our Principal, Mrs. Rebecca Bamberger, is now in her 6th year with us, and has brought so many special gifts with her, especially during these extraordinary times. Along with the Assistant Principal, Mrs. Mary Earnest, and a full faculty and staff, we have over 65 people committed to this mission, and many, many parents who volunteer their time and talent to the school. We are also blessed to have an Early Learning Program and Extended Day Program for those students whose parents pick them up after work. Some of the highlights of life in Saint Joseph School are: ·Thursday morning 9:00 AM Mass with students attending either in-person or via livestream ·Annual Hero Walk on Veterans Day ·Extracurricular activities including choir, band, orchestra, and hand bell choir ·Annual Christmas Concert (presented virtually this year) If you or anyone you know is interested in a Saint Joseph School education, online registration for the 2022-2023 school year begins on Thursday, January 13 at 5:00 AM. It is important to note that spaces will be limited and early registration is encouraged.
