PARISH TRANSFORMATION “Lend your voice to Jesus Christ’s.” Last weekend, Father Jonathan Sawicki, the diocesan Vocation Director, included these words during his homily. Hopefully we will all allow the Good Shepherd to use us to assist Him in the calling forth of men and women to serve the Church in the vocations of priesthood / consecrated life. As with everything on our faith journey, it all starts with prayer. This week we are offered the grace-filled opportunity of setting aside 3 days for our Annual Eucharistic Devotions. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be part of these devotions, and we will gather each evening for special ceremonies. Please make time to spend with our Lord, bringing the gift of your time in adoration, with your various prayers and concerns. Please include in your prayers the request that anyone from our parish who is called to be a priest, deacon or religious sister / brother will open their hearts to the journey God has in store for them, and that we will all be open to encouraging and supporting those who have such a call from God. Our Eucharistic Devotions schedule is as follows: Sunday, October 31 Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at the end of the 11:30 AM Mass. 5:00 PM - Evening Prayer I of All Saints, concluding with Benediction. Our guest homilist is Deacon Francis Skorija from Saint Margaret Mary Parish, Harrisburg. Monday, November 1 – ALL SAINTS DAY Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at the end of the 9:00 AM Mass. 4:00 PM Benediction will take place. 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM: Mass for All Saints Day. The homilist at these Masses is our own Deacon Steven Auchey. Tuesday, November 2 – ALL SOULS DAY Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament after the 9:00 AM Mass. 7:00 PM Mass for All Souls.
