The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion assists the clergy in bringing the sacramental presence of Christ to our parishioners – in a liturgical setting, as well as to the homebound and those in hospitals/institutions - so that all can be transformed into the Body of Christ.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are practicing Catholics who have completed training on the diocesan and parish levels. They are seniors in high school or older, and have the physical ability to distribute Holy Communion. EMHCs serve at weekend Masses and on Holy Days of Obligation. If interested, EMHCs can also bring Holy Communion to the homebound as needed. EMHCs are asked to serve at leat once a month. Contact us to get involved!
