Today’s Feast brings to a close the Christmas season. As we hear the story of Jesus being baptized by John the Baptist at the Jordan River and revealed as the Beloved Son of the Father, it brings to mind our own Baptism into the saving waters of Christ, when we were initiated into the Church. As we know, Baptism opens for us a lifelong journey that hopefully will see us all enter into the Eternal Kingdom of God. Here at Saint Joseph Parish, we continually look for ways to assist you on this journey. This can be summed up in our Parish Vision Statement:
We are truly blessed to have a Parish Staff that witnesses to their Baptismal call to holiness and service. I want to share my appreciation for all that our Staff does for us, as they have during my years here, and especially during this unusual time of a pandemic. Throughout these past months, and even before the effects of the pandemic set in, they have assisted (and, especially during this pandemic) have gone beyond the call of duty) in continuing the Mission and Vision of our Parish:
Parish Clergy: Father Timothy Sahd, Deacon Jack Paruso, Deacon Steve Auchey
Senior Leadership Team (in alphabetical order): Becky Bamberger (Saint Joseph School); Suzanne Bruzga (Evangelization); Rudy Geisler (Parish Manager); Mark Rebuck (Religious Education); Justin Myers (Music); Issy Stence (Communications); Mary Vukelich (Adult Faith Formation)
Office Staff: Raina Becket (Administrative Assistant); Jeanne Bolster (Receptionist); Dave Maceiko (Finance); Brenda Perry (Office Manager)
Maintenance Team: Tom Krautheim, Mike Fabrizio, Darlene Runk (and we include Warren Stephens and Larry Weber).
We are also grateful to our Saint Joseph School Faculty and Administration, our REP Catechists, the Parish Advisory Council, and those many, many volunteers who assist with our various ministries and parish organizations as they live out their Baptismal call.
During this year when the Universal Church is dedicated to Saint Joseph, the Husband of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Foster Father of Jesus, may we all continue to foster the presence of Christ, grow in our relationship with Him, and continue to witness to the faith into which we have all been baptized.
