My name is Paul Zabroske. My wife Shelley and our 6 children have been members of Saint Joseph for over 10 years. Many know our son Tim, or at least have heard him with his joyful noise additions to Saint Joseph liturgies. My family and I have always taken care of Tim and he has always been a joy and a blessing. But about 6 years ago that all changed. ·At that time I started looking around at all the people Tim impacted. ·The people here at Saint Joseph parish telling us how they love hearing him at Mass ·His grocery store friends always asking about Tim ·“Thank you for bringing Tim” from people walking by our food court table in the mall ·During social distancing…“Honk” hello’s from cars and trucks going by ·There even are several young adults who have told us the reason they are Special Education teachers today is because they knew Tim when they were growing up. You see Tim's particular gift is to cause people to pause, think, maybe even smile, and then the Holy Spirit can do his work. So, about 6 years ago my primary responsibility changed from taking care of Tim to helping Tim in his ministry of touching and blessing as many souls as possible. And that is exactly what we are doing through the Specially Blessed Ministry here at Saint Joseph. We are reaching out, to encourage those with special needs…those who are truly specially blessed, to get more involved in our liturgies, in our parish community, in our out-reach programs. Because we at Saint Joseph and the community in which we live need them! We need the blessings these special individuals can bring to us. So how can you help? How can you get involved? 1.First and foremost pray for the success of our ministry. 2.Be open, listen and interact with all the specially blessed individuals God puts in your life. He is working through them to reach you. You just need to pay attention. 3.If you are, or you know someone, or you are blessed to care for someone in our parish who is specially blessed, please let me know (see my contact information below). I would love to meet them and, if they are interested, work with and encourage them to get more involved in our parish community. 4. And if you would like to get directly involved in this ministry we would love to have you join us. We need people who will partner with specially blessed individuals as they do God's work among us. I look forward to hearing from you. God Bless you and yours, Paul Zabroske Advocate for the Specially Blessed 717-659-1054 [email protected]
