The Arimathean Ministry provides support during Funeral and Memorial Masses, which includes attendance at the Mass, serving as funeral readers, ushers, altar servers, Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion, and livestream operators. The ministry's mission is to affirm the value and dignity of human life with services and prayers for the dead.
Arimathean Ministry is named after Joseph of Arimathea, who asked to have the body of Jesus taken down from the cross and buried Him in his own tomb. Our volunteers in this ministry assist the family and friends of the deceased during the funeral services here in our church. Our volunteers represent the entire Saint Joseph Parish family and offer support to all the bereaved through their presence.
